If I could give no star I would. I ordered a personalised hip flask last night, realised immediately that the initials were incorrect and emailed within minutes to alert them. Called the next morning to cancel the order and reorder with correct details. Less than 24 hours to be told “computer says no”! I questioned this to say there was no way this order was being processed and at the engravers, surely they could find the order on their system. Yes, was the reply, she could see the order, but the system wouldn’t allow her to intervene! Luxury brand and service? Think I’d do better with Philip Green!
I'm very disappointed with this brand due to lack of transparency and poor customer service. I ordered a Christmas present for my partner and was told TWO weeks later it was out of stock. I had contacted customer service twice during these two weeks and was reassured that I would get the item next week. I now have to find a similar item before Christmas. I am truly appalled by this especially as this is the SECOND time it has happened. A few months ago I ordered a tote bag which again, after a week or so was told it was out of stock.
I have one bag from Aspinal of London and whilst I do like the quality and price, I don't think it's worth the poor customer service. I have had much better experiences with brands like Mulberry, Smythson and Burberry and would prefer to spend a little more to be treated well.
The Aspinal of London team need to rethink their brand and image. They have tried very hard to be a luxury brand but customer service is lacking to say the least. I would suggest that instead of gifting influencers with free bags and goodies, focus on transparency, communication and caring for your customers.

I’ve ordered a few times from here now, online, mainly for gifts and for the family.
This company makes the most beautiful items of most exquisite quality, in superlatively adorable and classic designs.
I particularly love the collection of “croc” style leather items, including Mayfair bags and trunks. They have a vintage feel and are even lovelier in person than on the website, and come in a box with a soft dust bag. I was recently gifted a mini Mayfair and my heart stopped as I lifted the little beauty out of the bag - it was love at first sight!
Many items can be personalised in gold lettering, for a small fee, including the wallets and notebooks.
This company is a real treasure trove. The customer service seems great too,
they were fast to get back to me about my queries.
Amazing customer service from Grace!
Although I’ve always loved Aspinal bags, I've never ordered from Aspinal till recently. I called customer service with regards to an order I had placed and enquired at the same time about another bag. Grace located the bag I wanted at one of the stores and I placed my order I’ve the phone. I found out that my first order has already been dispatched and I only placed the order the day before. I can’t wait to receive my order.
I ordered items online on 14th December, well within the delivery timescales for Christmas. I heard nothing so followed it up on the 18th, only to be told that the items would not be delivered until January. I cannot believe that this wasn't communicated before, or indeed at all, I had to chase them. Awful customer service.

I have had a terrible experience with Aspinal of London. I ordered two personalised items for Christmas and after waiting a week for them to get delivered it turned out that they had sent me someone else's order. When I phoned to sort this out, the girl that I spoke to said she'd sort it and get my items sent out ASAP. I then received an email the following day to say that they wouldn't be sending me my items until their returns team had received the wrong item I received!!! I said from the start that I would be happy to return the item, but did not expect to have to wait for my items to be sent out to me until they received the wrong order I had received, as these items should have already arrived by now and ESPECIALLY as it was their fault in the first place.
I then called customer service AGAIN and the girl I spoke to didn't want to put me through to a manager and said she could sort it out. Then when she checked to see if they could get my order out to me, she told me that one of the items was no longer in stock!!! She said she'd look into it and try to get both original items located and sent out ASAP.
About 6 hours later, I received an email confirmation to say an order has been processed and when I checked, both items that I had originally paid personalisation for weren't personalised, so I had to call customer service AGAIN for the 3rd time in 24 hours. (Baring in mind it takes minimum 10 minutes to be connected with anyone)
The final person I spoke to was rude and AGAIN told me she wouldn't put me through to a manager.
Considering it's supposed to be a luxury brand and you're paying a lot of money for these products, you just wouldn't expect this level of service or mistakes like this to be made!
I can confidently say I will not be purchasing anything from Aspinal of London again.
I ordered a wallet as a treat for myself recently. I had never bought from Aspinal before, however after browsing various websites, this seemed the closest to what I had in mind. I decided to have the wallet stamped with my initials. The website was easy to use, and the order went through easily enough. After ordering, I received several emails with updates on my wallet. It arrived fairly quickly, I think about 6 days after ordering. I hadn't asked for gift wrapping as it was for myself, but it came in a nice sturdy box - as far as I can see the only extra with the gift wrapping option would have been a piece of ribbon. The wallet itself is very nice, just as it was shown on the website. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought a pair of leather gloves from Aspinal of London three years ago. I have worn them infrequently but even so the linings began to fray until they are now nothing but shredded rags. See photos. I am immensely disappointed at the shoddy quality from a company that labels itself high end. I contacted the company and they politely just dismissed my emails. The gloves are unfit for purpose and having seen various one star reviews on other products from this company I would strongly advise against purchasing anything from them!
I bought a pair of leather gloves from Aspinal of London three years ago. I have worn them very little in this time partly because very soon the linings began to fray. Now the inners are nothing but shredded rags! I have other gloves (Dents, Aquascutum) which are years older and still as good as new. I wrote to Aspinal with photos of the dreadful state of the linings of their gloves and was told they would do nothing about it.
This is a company that considers itself high end! I would suggest if you are considering buying anything from them that you look at alternatives...
Got to the online payment and the item went out of stock as I was entering card details. Unheard of. Snatched from my basket, and now out of stock.
I like aspinal of london ..however returning /exchanging goods ..is not straight forward .. it all has to be done online ..there is no returns form .. tried to submit to them ..coming up gateway error ..then you have to fill in form for aspinal royal mail .. and you cannot exchange instore ..only return ..then they send purchase back to head office for refund . So think about ordering online .. and if you have it personalised ..you cannot return ..which i would have expected . There quality is very good though .
